The Gun Debate

Crime in the U.S

The Right to Bear Arms?

The Second Amendment of the United States is the right to bear arms, this basiclly means that you have every right to own and carry a fire arm. Now the people want to change the second amendment of the United States? There is a major debate on how guns should be controlled throughout the United states. The government wants to apply something called gun control which basically strengthens gun laws in America. Maybe we need it but maybe we don't, there are many pros and cons to applying gun control. For example there may be laws that will not lower crime making it pointless to pass, some laws may lower crime making the United States a better place to live in.

U.S Crime

Crime in the United States has declined and crime is about the same as it was in the 1960s. The major crimes that occur today are tragic and usually involves guns. One of the major crimes that recently happend is the Newtown Connecticut shooting. The Sandy Hook Elementary school shooting occurred In 2012. When 20 year old Adam Lanza shot and killed 20 children and 6 adults.

Big Questions

How will the Second Amendment "The Right to Bear Arms" affect on how gun control will rule out? My answer is that there is no intention to take away the Second Amendment, all they want to do is to strengthen the rules of gun laws. This would be for our protection and to lower crime in the United States.
