Instructional Compass: Guiding Learning Tips/Points
Instructional Compass
You guys rock!! I have noticed several of you have come into our new “Literacy Library” to check out books. Let me know what you all think about the “check out” process and how we can make it better.
Our Literacy Library is coming together nicely! We have been working hard on transferring leveled books from the 2-3 pod. I have had some awesome volunteers!! If you see them in the hallway or pod, please say “Thank You”.
We received some fun new books with the grant money and other funds. They are located in our Literacy Library. Some of the books have lesson plans that go with them. They are in the book bag with the books, so please make sure they do not get lost. You can make a copy to keep in your files if you choose.
Below is a list of our new Literacy Footprints books that you can find in our Literacy Library among many other titles and genres..
When you return the sets, just put them in the basket by the door. Either a volunteer or myself will reshelve the books. If you have questions about how it is leveled, please ask. Some may not be leveled correctly. If this is the case, I can correct it before putting it back on the shelf.
Thank you for all your hard work and dedication to your students! It really shows!
Your Coach,
Terri Miller
P.S. Please sign up for a time that we can have a collaborative conversation together and create some goals for your students.

Round Robin Kagan Structure
