Projects
Allison and Jennifer have been working with Kindergarten classes using Pebble Go to research Untied States Symbols. Students have learned how to use ABCYa!’s Story Maker to create a finished product showcasing what they have learned. If you are interested in working on a research project with Allison and Jennifer, please let them know!
You Tube & Safari Montage
A set of YouTube videos within SAFARI Montage is now available for students to access on the primary GCPS network. However, these YouTube videos will still be blocked on the BYOD network. The county is working on a way to make them available on BYOD. As a reminder, if you see a student viewing a YouTube video that is not provided through SAFARI Montage, please address it. It is a violation of GCPS' responsible use policy.
Inventory
The Media Center will have its annual INVENTORY the week of March 25-March 31. During these 5 days, students are not able to check out books. Teachers, however, are able to checkout materials during inventory. If you’d like for the media center to pull materials, please let us know your needs (number of books you need, AR levels, fiction, non-fiction, etc….) and we will be glad to pull these for you. Students are welcome to come take AR tests in the media center, read, complete work or do research that week. We appreciate your flexibility as we account for the materials in our collection.
Pizza Hut Book IT!
The Pizza Hut Book It! Program will end on March 31…Make sure you give out those coupons before then to all of your readers.
