origin of my spice
Romans used Savory as an herb and seasoning even before they used pepper. They used it as a medicine, a bee sting treatment, and an aphrodisiac. When the Romans brought it to England, it was used as an ingredient in stuffing rather than as an herbal remedy.

Summer savory is a fast growing annual. It grows upright to about 18 inches tall as a loose bushy plant. Summer savory has needle-shaped leaves to about 1 inch long on four-sided, gray-green stems. Summer savory flowers are light purple to pink.
1/2 cups warm water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)
1 teaspoon active dry yeast
4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 tablespoon dried basil
1/2 tablespoon ground savory 1/2 tablespoon dried thyme1/2 tablespoon dried rosemary
2 tablespoons sea salt
4 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons cornmeal
fresh or dried
