Hey AIESEC IN VIT.

It's a beautiful start of a new journey and I congratulate you all for being in the family. I hope you enjoy the participation and get out of your comfort zone.

Let your imagination run wild,Be creative as much as you can,redefine your own boundaries. You are entitled to your position because you have earned it and now is the time for us all to leave a legacy and it can be done only and only when we have ownership to the organisation and to our portfolios. PORTFOLIO UPDATES

TALENT MANAGEMENT

My targets for the next two weeks are making sure every single meeting has been thoroughly recorded and the process is well tracked. I wish to see the operations running smoothly without any external pressure. I want every AIESECer to push themselves to the limit, out of their comfort zone because that's where you really develop and grow as a person.

I wish to see the new recruits understand what AIESEC is on a deeper level and what we have to offer here.

GENERAL UPDATES :

The operations have begun and there seems to be some confusion about minutes and battery percentage. I'm working on clearing them out as best as I can. The cell seems to be providing a solid foundation and I'm glad to see the level of motivation in everyone.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Team has been mostly bonding and setting up personal goals. Coming up with the team name was quite a task but we like to call ourselves infinity and beyond.

The team was taught to have a BD outlook towards the events taking place in and outside of AIESEC VIT.

The goals for the coming 2 weeks are getting in touch with our clients and partners for Generation Global and getting a feedback through the event report and surveys. Further we are looking forward to establishing better relations with the university by conducting more sessions in synergy with GT and GC to keep people informed as to our organizations functioning and existence.

INCOMING GLOBAL CITIZEN


  • Basic target of the department is to have around 6-8 interns coming here for exchange.
  • We are working out two project areas- Educational and Creativity.
  • Educational projects are primarily basic teaching projects. For example- teaching English to children.
  • Creativity projects can include projects related to photography, videography , blogging,etc.
  • We have started to contact several schools and NGOs to implement these projects.
  • Till now each and every member of the department has been oriented about the working and execution of the new upcoming department.
  • Responsibilities of each member is allotted by the Team Leaders.

OUTGOING GLOBAL CITIZEN


  • The main target of the department is to become a self sustainable department in the future.
  • In order to do so , each Team leader has been assigned different kind of work i.e. Marketing related work, EP experience , internal Finance manager and Matching. In this way it will function as an independent department.
  • Travel Diaries is an initiative taken by this department to publicize an EP’s experience to promote more AIESECers to go on an exchange.
  • Each team member has been given a negotiable and exclusive job description which will make them come out of their comfort zones and make them get over their weaknesses.
  • Till now OGC has 6 raises and 3 IRs in Russia ,Vietnam and Philippines .
  • Also two Global Citizen posters have been put up for OGC.

MARKETING


  • One target that marketing department has is that there should be at least 5 sign ups per poster.
  • 2 posters for GC are already up and we have received 15 sign ups ,hence, overshooting their targets.
  • By spamming on online channels,marketing department has reached more than 10k people which is the highest till now.
  • Marketing department has started focussing on the GTCM model for publicity.
  • Marketing will be tracking their audience i.e. showing the quantitative(number of people reached) and qualitative(kind of population interested,eg-gender,age,etc) analysis of the posts on a daily basis. Hence there will be an intense marketing analysis.
  • This will make marketing sustainable and outreach will maximise .

GLOBAL TALENT

Outgoing Global Talent


  • Concentrating on the Global Entrepreneurship Program.
  • Targeting fourth year students of our college to go for a technical internship instead of their final year project.
  • Till now they have oriented each and every member of the department about the working and execution of the new upcoming department.
  • Responsibilities of each member is allotted by the Team Leaders.



Incoming Global Talent


  • Concentrating on finding internships in companies in and around Vellore.
  • They will be approaching our university for providing internship to incoming interns.
  • They have worked out a list of around 12- 13 companies to be approached for internship.
  • Till now they have oriented each and every member of the department about the working and execution of the new upcoming department.
  • Responsibilities of each member is allotted by the Team Leaders.

BATTERY PERCENTAGE

Congratulations to Team LITT UPs 1.0 for attaining the first rank with the highest battery percentage for week 1.

1.HOW DO YOU FEEL BEING A PART OF AIESEC?

The fact that I am a part of the largest youth run organization is really thrilling. I have had the experience to interact with people from various countries and AIESEC also pretty much deals towards that side and hence I'm looking forward to that.


2.WHAT IS THE CRAZIEST THING YOU'VE EVER DONE?

One experience that really changed my mind was the trek up Mt.Fuji. Its the tallest mountain there and it's an active volcano. The best part of the trek was reaching the summit at 3:30 in the morning and waiting for sunrise. I know it doesn't sound all that crazy but trust me it was a crazy experience.


3.WHAT IS THE WEIRDEST THING ABOUT YOU?

My trippy attitude.

1. HOW DO YOU FEEL BEING A PART OF AIESEC?

Being a part of AIESEC is really exciting. Everyone in the AIESEC family is super crazy. We have had just a few meetings and I'm already comfortable with all my fellow members and the way the whole body functions.


2.WHAT IS THE CRAZIEST THING YOU'VE EVER DONE?

It was last winter, that i went to Khajuraho with my cousins. It was freezing cold, about 5 degrees and I remembered that we all decided to jump into a swimming pool of our hotel and that too at 2:30 in the morning.


3.WHAT IS THE WEIRDEST THING ABOUT YOU?

There's nothing as such.But yeah,I laugh in a weird manner. Sometimes its so embarrassing that people turn and notice me but I can't help it.


4.WHO WOULD YOU CHOOSE TO SHOOT,DATE AND MARRY FROM AIESEC?

Hahahahah.... It's just been a week that I joined. So, too early to answer these questions because I still need to know people.
