James and the Giant Peach Field Trip

Big image
Our students had a fantastic Friday at the Alliance Theater where we saw "James and the Giant Peach." When we returned to school, we all talked about our favorite funny parts from the play. Thank you so much to Eshaan's Mom and Olivier's Mom for joining us on the trip.

St. Patrick's Day Fun

On Tuesday, March 17th, we celebrated St. Patrick's Day at school. We had so much fun learning about the history of St. Patrick's Day, Ireland, rainbows, and leprechauns. We were even visited by one tricky little leprechaun named Larry. He destroyed our classroom, but then sent us on a treasure hunt by leaving us clues all around the school. The students also had a lot of fun learning how to Irish Step Dance (I took lessons as a child!). It was a wonderful day to be in first grade!
