September 15, 2016
On Friday, September 9, South Grove Intermediate School received a donation of $500 from the Beech Grove Sons of the American Legion. Mr. Steve Smith and Mr. Jon Chamness represented the organization and presented the check to South Grove staff, Mrs. Dee Dee Horen, Curriculum and Instruction Coordinator, and Mrs. Stacy Johnson, the school's PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) Coach. Mr. Smith is the much-loved uncle of Mrs. Horen! The generous donation will be used to fund PBIS rewards for students at South Grove.

BG Cub Scout Pack 108 Kicks Off Popcorn Fundraiser
Beech Grove Cub Scout Pack 108 met at Sarah Bolton Park on August 30th for a cookout and to kick off their Popcorn fundraiser. 88 people attended, including about half a dozen new scouts who signed up that night. Over 170 servings of hotdogs and burgers were cooked on the grill, and the group drank over 12 gallons of lemonade and ice water! Many new scouts recited the Scout Law and Philmont Grace for the first time. Mrs. Keys did a presentation on popcorn sales.
The Pack will meet for a Pack meeting at Central Elementary at 6:30 PM on Monday September 19th, and new applications will be accepted.
