Eastlake High School 11.4.19
The Titan Way - Respectful Language, Attitude and Actions
It was certainly a spooktacular week at Eastlake High School! As you know, November is an important month for many of our seniors who are starting to make college and career choices. Please cheer them on and also make sure they get some mental health breaks and support. We have a three-day weekend coming up, but let's put the focus on the reason for it. We will be celebrating our vets this Friday and I hope you consider getting involved. See the details below. Let's get to some main points for the week.
A. Union Meeting. I will be checking in with your Union Representatives about the state of the school including your feedback on critical issues. I will also discuss some ideas around second semester master schedule issues as well as possible PLC items.
B. Construction Update. Construction for the new Drop-off zone starts November 12. Prepare for the madness!
C. Veterans Day. I hope you will join us in celebrating our vets this Friday from 7:00 to 7:45 in front of the school. We will be serving our vets coffee and pastries in front of the school. If you want to donate food, please bring it by early Friday morning. Consider buying a vet shirt (LINK). Shirt orders are due by Monday at lunch. You can pay by Thursday. Regardless, come on out and support our staff and community who served our great nation. Also, if you served our nation or was a spouse, can you please send us a picture of you/spouse in uniform Send it directly to me by Wednesday.
Let's get to it Titans! Have a great week.

Titan and SEL Communication Challenge
This week's Titan Challenge: Share with your students your thought about college and career when you were the students' age.
I care deeply about the staff. We give so much of ourselves to our students and parents. Take time for balance and reflection.
Self-Care Challenge: Buy a vet a coffee or lunch this week. It honors the vet and gives you a boost of gratitude.
