Will Pearson placed second on the Level 2 Latin Literature Exam. And Parkview's Latin Club placed first in the state in both net and percentage chapter growth. Dr. Davidson also received the State Chair's Award for her service on the GJCL board. If you see any of our awesome Latin students today, please congratulate them!

Men's Soccer Moves on in the Playoffs
The boys’ soccer team continued its "Road Warrior" journey with an exciting 2-1 victory over Pebblebrook in overtime in Mableton, Georgia April 18 and advanced to the Elite Eight in the GHSA soccer playoffs. Senior goalkeeper Kendall Henry stopped a penalty kick and that was the momentum the gave the visiting Panthers the shot in the arm they needed as junior Manny Mateo tallied his first goal of the season within a minute after the save from Henry. In overtime, senior John Charlton was fouled in the box and senior Carlos Garcia converted the penalty kick. The boys fought for every square inch and frustrated the defending state finalists from last season. The boys improved to 12 wins, 7 losses on the season. The boys will travel to Walton High School April 25th for an 8pm kickoff and a chance to make it to the Final Four.

2023/24 Scheduling Update
- Students can view their course requests for the 2023/24 school year in the StudentVue app.
- The Curriculum Office has been building the master schedule of classes for the 2023/24 school year and are working through course conflicts with student schedules.
- If you see what you feel is an error in your course requests, you may email the Curriculum Office staff: leigh.wach@gcpsk12.org & luann.poteete@gcpsk12.org
- Registration materials will be reviewed to determine if an error exists. Please understand that some requests for change in placement/level were denied due to students currently not performing in the A range in the current subject area class.
- Student classes may have also changed since registration due to class schedule conflicts. Course registration sheets and alternates were used in making these changes.
- As a reminder, students were able to request changes to their schedules during the registration process in February. Students may no longer request changes to courses in their schedules as we built the master schedule of courses based on what students registered for in February.
- The Curriculum office will send an email in May for students to complete a form if they will be taking summer classes.
Please Be On Time Daily
- As a reminder, school begins at 7:15am. We are aware that traffic is heavy. Please leave home early enough to arrive to school and be in 1st period on time. Thank you for helping us have your student to school on time!
- If a student arrives to school after 7:30am, the student MUST check-in through the Attendance Office. If a student needs to leave school for any reason after arriving to school, the student MUST have a note or the parent/guardian must check them out through the Attendance Office. The Attendance Office is located inside the main building lobby.
- No students may check themselves out without a parent note turned in before school.
Don't Forget Your Chromebook
Please remember to bring your FULLY CHARGED Chromebook Daily! It is important to have these everyday for class use.
Please Don't...
- Bring outside food or have it delivered to anywhere on the school grounds, but please do finish any outside food before you arrive on campus and enter the school.
- Have flowers/balloons/gifts delivered to the school, but please enjoy your celebration at home.
- Expect to check your student out after 1:30, but please do have your student bring a note first thing in the morning so they can get a pass to check-out before 1:30.
Please remember that school appropriate clothes are always required on campus.
