Essential Question: How Can Insects Be Helpful?

Words to Know:

  • caught, thought, beautiful, took, minute, friendship, listen, idea


  • corner: a place or area
  • signs: things that give information
  • disguised: dressed in a way that hides who you are
  • solve: figure out
  • mystery: something with a puzzle to be figured out
  • seriously: in a way that it thoughtful and not joking


This week:

  • Skip counting by 2s, 5s, 10s, etc.
  • Story problems with many numbers (ex: 3+5+4 = ?)
  • Place Value (tens and ones)
  • Adding and Subtracting tens

Here is what else we are reviewing:

  • Time to the hour and half hour
  • Balanced equations
  • Coins and their values


Check out XtraMath on your computer or tablet! The kids use it to practice their fast facts quickly and accurately. It's a fun way to do a little math each day!
