A Message from Dr. Manola
Good afternoon, and happy Friday! Can you believe we have just wrapped up week 2? While we continue to navigate all of the challenges and uncertainties we are facing together, we could not be more thrilled with the engagement and attendance we are seeing from all of our students and families! Our teachers continue to talk about how impressive our students have been, and this doesn't happen without your support and guidance. Thank you for all that you are doing!
As we head into week 3, we wanted to provide a quick reminder that in our current Block 3 + PE quarter schedule, the entire 'semester' worth of credit takes place in 9 total weeks. In other words, the three classes your student is currently in will be complete on October 16. So, while we have just completed two weeks of classes, it's more like four weeks. We wanted to make sure to mention this so that we can continue to emphasize the importance of taking part in classes, engaging, and completing all of our work and assignments.
By all means, like always, our number one goal is to make sure students are safe, healthy, and taken care of. If you or your student need anything at all, please reach out to a counselor, social worker, teacher, or administrator anytime. We are all in this together and here for you.
Thank you again for all you do - we truly appreciate it!
Best regards,
Dr. Dominic M. Manola

Student Access & Open Student Work Spaces

To provide opportunities for students who might need connectivity and a quiet work environment, student workspaces in the Field House and Mezzanine are now available to all students on days when school is in session. No direct instruction will take place during these times.
Students must sign-up to access the building as attendance will be taken. Spaces will be limited. Parents/guardians will be contacted if a student does not arrive for their scheduled time.
Hours
Students have the opportunity to sign up for Session 1, Session 2, or both. Students are expected to stay for the entire duration of their session.
Session 1: 9:00 a.m. - 11:45 a.m
Session 2: 12:15 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.
Students may stay for Office hours from 2:30 p.m. to - 3:10 p.m. if needed. A late bus will run at 3:15 p.m. to get students home.
Students who are using these spaces should proceed directly to them and must wear a mask at all times. Additionally, social distancing must be practiced. Student workspaces will be spaced out and provide up to 45 or less workspaces per space to comply with regulations regarding group sizes of 50 or less in any one space. Staff will also be present for supervision in these spaces.

Material Distribution/Pickup Procedures
Students may need physical items from Leyden during the remote learning period. The following procedure will be implemented to allow students to acquire materials necessary to meet course goals or other needs Leyden routinely provides students. This process is subject to change based on the volume of requests.
Students may request materials from a teacher using this form.
The Materials Distribution Coordinator will monitor the form and will process the request.
All completed requests will be housed at Entrance 21 (East) and may be picked up in a drive-through fashion. Students may turn in any homework/materials at that time as well.
Once the Materials Distribution Coordinator contacts you, your materials can be picked up at Entrance 21 daily during three (3) time slots:
- 7:30 a.m. - 8:45 a.m.
- 10:45 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.
- 2:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.
