Which Part Of Egypt He Ruled
It is assumed that Tutankhamun lived in Akhetaten (modern day Tell el-Amarna) which was the capital city of Egypt, by the fact that he was born there.
What were his significant achievements
His significant achievements were:
Built at least one colssal statue of himself that was to stand at his mortary temple started at Medinet Habu.
He restored the religion of the Old Gods to Egypt and reopened closed temples of all the Gods that had been proscribed.
He moved the capital to Memphis, built there and in Thebes.
How old did he live to
He became Pharaoh at the age of 9 years old in 1337 BC. Tutankhamun was approximately 18 or 19 years old when he died in around 1328 BC.
Why is he famous today
This answer can be attributed to the discovery of his tomb and his elaborate treasure. It was a phenomenal discovery that made headlines across the world. Up until the discovery of King Tut’s tomb, it was believed that all royal tombs had been robbed and drained of their treasure.
Where he was buried
King Tut’s tomb was a major discovery of the 19th century. It was discovered November 4, 1922 in the Valley of the Kings by Howard Carter.
Other facts
The birth name of Tutankhamun was Tutankhaton, which meant “Living Image of the Aten.”
