Dear FSS staff,
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!
This Friday, April 22nd will be the last day of 3-6 intervention. 3-6 grade students begin SBAC testing the following week, and after testing we are in the home stretch! K-2 intervention will end April 29th. After intervention concludes, we will spend time looking closely at data to begin to make determinations for next year. We will also be sending out a survey to teachers to get some feedback from you.
Our final round of clubs begin this Tuesday, April 19th. Thank you to all of you who have offered your time for clubs this year. They have been a huge success! In addition to our clubs, we have received some additional funding from Migrant ED, our Mon./Wednes. reading program will continue, and we are also beginning a STEM club and Soccer STEM program, fliers for both of these new programs were sent home with your qualifying (migrant) students last week.
We had a very productive Lighthouse meeting last week. We have decided to do a (very) mini, scaled down version of our Leadership Day for Open House. We feel it will be a great way to encourage more parents to attend Open House, and will also be a good opportunity for our students to show off for their parents! Please check with your grade-level Lighthouse rep. for more information.
Lastly, we are already beginning our planning for next year! With that in mind, we are not anticipating any grade-level changes among teachers. We are fortunate to have grade-level teams that work really well together, it has been a very successful year. If you are interested in changing grade-levels, please let Stephanie or me know.
Have a fantastic week!
Lindsay
