Girl Scouts donate 16 hand-crafted tables to Family Promise
The seventh-grade Girl Scouts, members of Troop 6324, made and donated 16 hand-crafted end tables for Family Promise to use at local homeless shelters. The project culminated in the delivery of the tables to Family Promise of Washington County on Jan. 18.
The Silver Award represents a girl’s accomplishments in girl scouting and her community as she grows and works to improve her life and the lives of others.
Kroger Donation
The Kroger Company donated a variety of PPE equipment. This donation positively impacts our staff and student’s safety as we continue educational instruction in our community amidst the Covid-19 pandemic. We thank them for being a valued community member with tremendous care and compassion.
Health Update from Kristina & Tara
A Public Hearing on the Educator Effectiveness Waiver was held. The resolutions for the waiver of certain school board or school district requirements was reviewed and recommended. The waiver application is submitted to the Department of Public Instruction, would impact both schools, is due to pandemic, physical distancing, cohorting, and teachers teaching both in person and virtually simultaneously, and sometimes teaching virtually. Ms. Shattuck spoke to the adjustments the district is making to adhere to some of the Educator Effectiveness requirements. The board needed to agree or attest that a public hearing was held and attest that the community was mostly in support or had no input on the waivers. No questions were raised.
During our February board meetings the following items were approved:
2021 Summer School Program
2021/22 Academic Calendar (available on the website)
The Educator Effectiveness Waiver for - Wisconsin State Statute 115.415, 121.02(1)(q) and 121.02(1)(q)
Technology Plan
Dominiczak Therapy Agreement for 2021-2024 (this is the agency we have used for OT/PT for the last several years)
Staffing Updates: Craig Reese and Kevin Kreuser were hired as part of our custodial/cleaning teams!
Pupil Services Update, Ms. Tomich

Open Enrollment for the 2021-2022 School Year
The Public school open enrollment program in Wisconsin allows parents to apply for their children to attend a public school in a school district other than the one in which they reside. The regular open enrollment application period for the 2021-22 school year begins on February 1, 2021, and ends at 4:00 pm on April 30, 2021. The best way to apply is online, the online application is available at https://dpi.wi.gov/open-enrollment during the application period.
The Holy Hill Area School District will review all Open Enrollment applications received during the application period and approve applications within grade levels that have approved open seat availability. These decisions are based on the Holy Hill Area School Board approved number of seats available as determined at the January 18, 2021 school board meeting for the upcoming 2021-2022 school year.
