The Issue

Homelessness is a huge issue in the United States, especially in our Nation’s Capitol. There are 3,821 homeless people in DC, and 1,131 homeless families. While we are sleeping in comfortable beds and eating nutritious food, many citizens of DC don’t have access to either of those. It is also very hard for many of these people to survive. On any given night in the district, 7,784 are homeless.

How to Help

Donate money to transitional housing and homeless shelters. There are shelters for people who needs help and a home. A home for just the night or their rest of their life, transitional housing can help. You can donate to Friendship place. There are many ways to donate.
