- Holiday Cards for Seniors - The students are making holiday cards that will be delivered to the seniors care facilities in St. Albert. Due December 8th
- Kinsman Club of St. Albert Christmas Hampers - Collections of new toys and non-perishable food items collecting until December 12th

- Basically Babies - Collecting new or gently used baby items (0-24 months): Sleepers, snow suits, socks, girls tights, bath towels, hard toys.
Winter Performances
We are excited to announce that as part of our month of giving this year, Kino will be hosting a series of small assembly performances that will showcase each of our classes. These assemblies will be 30-45 minutes each and are spread throughout the month. They will each start with a short performance and conclude with a school sing-a-long of winter- and holiday-themed music for all to enjoy.
Please see the schedule below for the dates and times of the different class performances. We would love to have parents join us in appreciating the hard work that our kiddos have put into their music so far this year!

- Tuesday, Dec. 12 at 2:45 pm: Grade 3 MacKenzie + Grade 1/2 MacKay

Another Successful Book Fair!
A big thank you to all those who came and supported the book fair!
We took in a total of $5,663.35! A percentage of that will come back to the school, and will help stock the library and needed resources in the classrooms.
There was a family draw and Abi McNeil and Mr. Belanger both won $25 dollars in merchandise!! Congratulations!

Healthy Hunger ("FUN LUNCH Thursdays")
The next Hot Lunch is December 7th! (As usual, orders must be placed by the previous Saturday.)
Hot lunch will offered each Thursday of the week, throughout the school year. Parents please log onto the Healthy Hunger website (www.healthyhunger.ca), where you may view the available options for your child(ren). Here you are able to select the date, class room and food/drink choices you want for your child. Payment is made online at this time.
Did you know that money raised from this program is given back to the school, helping to enrich our kiddo’s school experience? If you have any questions or comments, or would like to volunteer, please email Kasia at kasiamiller.kawshaw@gmail.com. Fun Lunch is driven by volunteers from the Kinosayo Parent Association.

Parent Info Session ~ Logically Illogical: Information and Insight into Autism
Featuring: Ros Blackburn
Ros Blackburn is an adult with autism. At three months old she appeared withdrawn, isolated and very much in a world of her own. At 18 months she was diagnosed very severely autistic but with average intellectual ability. Now at 54, Ros lectures nationally and internationally giving insight into her own experiences and the care and education practices she has observed. In spite of the severe limitations imposed by her condition, Ros displays great courage (and a strong sense of humour) in facing her fears and tackling life’s challenges.
