Terrapin Tidbits

SY20 TCES Family Issue #10: 11/4/19

Greetings Terrapin Families,

November is the time of year to take time to reflect on all that we have. This year, I am incredibly grateful to be at Town Creek Elementary with our amazing students, outstanding staff, and supportive families!

I plan to use a few of these Gratitude Conversation Starters [link] to start some conversations about gratitude at my family dinner table this month. I invite you to use them with your family, too!

Warm regards,
Lindsay Brenfleck

"Kids Helping Kids" Food Drive

At Town Creek Elementary School, we value respect, responsibility, and safety so we are ready to learn. This year we are participating in the annual Harvest for the Hungry “Kids Helping Kids” food drive to benefit the local food bank. “Kids Helping Kids” provides our students with the opportunity to show responsibility to their community by helping others. It also provides food to hungry children so they will be “Ready to Learn.”

From November 4 - November 15, we will be collecting

non-perishable food items in the lobby of the school.

Items most needed include:

  • Canned Meats
  • Peanut Butter
  • Macaroni and Cheese
  • Canned Vegetables
  • Canned Fruits
  • Cereal
  • Canned Soup
  • Pasta
  • Rice

Please help us in this community effort. This is a wonderful opportunity for us to reach out to other children and to instill in our students the importance of caring for those in need. Thank you in advance for your support of this worthwhile school project.

Many Thanks to All Who Participated in our Red Ribbon Week Spirit Days!
