Plasma
Plasma is liquid and carries hormones and nutrients throughout the body. It makes up roughly 55% of blood tissue.
Red Blood Cells
They are also known as Erythrocytes and hey are the most numerous of the blood cells. They do not have a nucleus and they survive for 4 months. They carry oxygen and carbon dioxide, which bind to the hemoglobin proteins.
White Blood Cells
They are also known as Leukocytes, and they contain a nucleus along with DNA. They belong to moth the circulatory and immune systems. In order to destroy Antigens, WBC secrete antibodies which destroy the foreign invaders.
Platelets
They are cell fragments that assist in blood clotting. They are much smaller than red blood cells.
