Swansboro High School
Weekly Updates August 18, 2019
Happy Sunday Pirate Families!
Last week was an exciting time at Swansboro High School as seniors painted their parking spaces and we certified a new wave of babysitters for the community through the HOSA babysitting camp. Teachers and staff return to work tomorrow and will be busy preparing to meet you and your students on Friday at open house. Remember that you have two options this year to stop by and visit teachers. You may join us between 12:00-1:00 pm or 4:00-6:00 pm. Bring your schedule to avoid waiting in line.
We hope you will join us this week to cheer for our student athletes as they return to the courts and fields for season openers. Monday includes volleyball at home against Croatan and tennis at home against New Bern. Our tennis team will host Croatan on Tuesday and volleyball will host South Lenior while the soccer teams travel to Ashley High School in Wilmington. Wednesday will include cross country at Fort Macon and volleyball at home against Richlands. Thursday our golf team will play in Morehead City, tennis will host East Carteret and our JV Football team will travel to Dixon. Friday night is our first varsity football game of the year, our Century Club tailgate party and our soccer teams will travel to the NCSCA Kick-Off Classic at Wake Med. We will host the volleyball Joseph Beasley Spike Fest tournament on Saturday.
