Dystopian Nightmare Is A Reality
The Fear Of A Dystopia
High School Sonnet
School starts at seven
Seventy is the lowest grade you can make
We finish eating lunch at eleven
Sixteen core classes you have to take
No cellphones out during class
All assignments must be turned in
Teachers encourage us to not fail and pass
Throw all papers in the recycling bin
Get the highest test score and an award
Dress code is a must
Graduation is the reward
School teams leave the others in the dust
Hard work pays off
Thanks to Mr. Zopf
"People should not be afraid of their governments. Governments should be afraid of their people"
It's a sin by Eddy Arnold 1945
It's a sin, my darling how I love you
Because I know our love can never be
It's a sin to keep this memory of you
When silence proves that you've forgotten me
The dream I built for us has tumbled
Each promise broken like my heart
It's a sin, my darling how I love you
So much in love and yet so far apart
It's a sin to hide behind this heartache
To make believe that I've found someone new
It's a sin to say that I don't miss you
When people know I'm still in love with you
I'm sure you're happy with another
Who shares the love I couldn't win
Why pretend that I can't live without you
When deep inside I know that it's a sin
It's a sin
It’s a sin by Eddy Arnold is the best theme song for 1984. I chose this song because it expresses the rules of the Party. In the book Winston and Julia could not be together because Winston had a wife and Julia is part of the Anti-Junior Sex League. As a result, they have to hide their interactions. The Party has strict rules that Inner Party members could not interact with other Party members. The dystopian society they are living in is always being watched. Telescreens and hidden microphones kept the society under control of Big Brother. The song shows the aspect of the society that is oppressed.
The march of freedom
This event is open to everyone that wants to show their individuality. The government has oppressed us for so long. The government has taken our right to vote and our freedoms stated in the Bill Of Rights. This is a stand for our future we want to become trusting citizens under the rule of a fair government. We will march from all corners of our country to its capital. Protesting from where ever you start and no stopping till our rights are obtained. Our right have been fringed upon now it is time to put a halt to it.

Tweets
In today’s world many trends circulate around the internet. Twitter has become a trend that has taken most teenagers by storm. It has created a dystopian like society among the youth of today. Teenagers are categorized as either being in the circle of tweets or not being involved. Tweeting has led to hash tagging which is a form of categorizing pictures, events, or other daily life occurrences. This has created a sort of a mini dystopian structure.
