CELEBRATING EXCELLENCE IN CATHOLIC EDUCATION MADONNA SCHOOL TEACHERS WON TWO AWARDS!

1.Council of Catholic School Superintendents of Alberta (CCSSA) Excellence in Catholic Teaching Award

Each year the CCSSA honors one teacher or school administrator from each Catholic jurisdiction in the province who has done an exemplary job in preparing our youth to grow into outstanding Catholic citizens. Nominees are passionate about Catholic education and the students they teach, inspire their students, and demonstrate commitment to Catholic education and teaching excellence.

2020 Nominees:

  • Jocelyn Beliveau -->Jean Vanier Catholic School
  • Lana Froehle -->r Our Lady of Mount Pleasant Catholic School
  • Angela Prenoslo -->Catholic School 2020

2.Alberta School Board Association (ASBA) Edwin Parr Excellence in First Year Teaching Award

Each year the ASBA honours six outstanding first-year teachers with the Edwin Parr Teacher Award. School boards may nominate any first-year K to 12 teacher who has taught in an Alberta school jurisdiction which is a member of the ASBA. Edwin Parr was President of the Alberta School Trustees’ Association from 1956 to 1962. The Award was set up to honour his memory and to recognize outstanding first year teachers.
