It's Here!
-Collect all cell phones and electronic devices
-Actively monitor
-Some students may be tempted to sleep. Gently tap their shoulder to wake them up and note the time each time you have to do this.
-Snacks will be delivered to each room
-Lunch times may vary from the usual. On Monday and Tuesday, because only a portion of 8th grade is testing, we may very well start lunches with them to give more time for the 7th graders finish testing.Thank you in advance for your patience with this.
As we do each morning, we will gather 7th graders in the gym and 8th graders in the cafeteria. If you would like to drop by and give them some encouragement for the day, you are most welcome to do that. This goes for all teachers and staff. All of us at one time in the day or another are a teacher, and the students belong to all of us.
The Final Coundown
This time of year can be stressful. There is much to wrap up on top our daily obligations. Seek out your marigolds. They are in great need at this time of the year. Stay away from those walnut trees. Sometimes the lounge may not be the place to stay. If the environment feels toxic at that moment, don't hesitate to relocate. There are times when we all need to vent and get things off of our chest, but once done, let us all leave it there and seek out the positives. There are positives to be found in every situation if we would only look.
Speaking of the Lounge
Thank you in advance for your attention to this. (By the way, the microwave needs cleaning!)
