Immigration in the U.S.
By: Eva Ravesi
Why immigration is an issue in the U.S.
Immigration has always been an issue in the U.S., but in the last ten years immigration numbers have sky rocketed. The problem is these illegal immigrants are coming into the U.S. and getting health care for free, housing for free without working or paying taxes and that's what the problem is. Working Americans feel that they're paying for these illegal immigrants health care and housing while they go to work and support their families and don't get the free stuff they do. These working Americans are paying taxes each year for people coming into the U.S. illegally to basically live for free and they've had enough of it.
Donald Trump and Republicans in Congress plans on immigration.
Donald Trump is an interesting character as it is, having no political experience running for president. But one thing Trump plans on doing if he gets elected into office is to build a wall on the border of Mexico and Texas. "I will build a Great Wall— and nobody builds walls better than me, believe me, — and I'll build them very inexpensively. I will build a great, great wall on our southern border, and I will make Mexico pay for that wall. Mark my words." -Donald Trump. The republicans in congress feel very strongly on this topic, they feel the need to get rid of illegal immigration. Its not fair to the tax paying Americans. If Trump gets elected the republicans in congress will most likely approve him building a wall on the border of Mexico and Texas.
Hillary Clinton and Democrats in Congress plans on immigration.
Hillary Clinton says that she is going to deport any immigrant that is a violent threat to the public, and in her first one hundred days in office she will introduce a comprehensive immigration reform with a pathway to equal citizenship. Clinton is all for immigration she thinks that it makes America better and that is what America is all about. But in reality we have homeless veterans that served our country on the streets while illegal immigrants are coming into the U.S. getting free health care and housing. This is not right and needs to be changed. For the democrats in congress they believe in the dream act and that immigrants should be allowed to come into to the U.S. so they plan on pretty much anything Clinton wants to do.
Gary Johnson's stance on immigration.
Gary Johnson is a republican presidential candidate, that believes immigrates should be allowed to come into the U.S. "We should make it as easy as possible for somebody that wants to come into this country and work to be able to get a work visa. I'm not talking about a green card; I'm not talking about a citizenship, but a work visa that should entail a background check and a Social Security card so that applicable taxes get paid. They are not taking jobs that U.S. citizens want. They're hard-working individuals. The reason for the eleven million illegal immigrants is because there are jobs that exist in this country and they can't get across the border legally, so they cross illegally." - Gary Johnson.

Eva Ravesi's stance on immigration.
I'm a strong believer in string the illegal immigrants. I dont see the need to let them in to our country when half of them don't work which means they don't pay taxes which also means they're basically living for free. We have hundreds maybe thousands of homeless veterans that served our country that can't afford to get the medical care that they need, but we have these illegal immigrants coming in and getting free medical care that they don't deserve because they're not paying taxes for they're health care. Us the working tax paying Americans are paying for their medical care while we would much rather pay for medical care for our veterans. If these immigrants went to work and payed taxes then that would be a whole different story they would deserve the free medical care they for them not to work or pay taxes makes them not worthy of free health care and housing. There needs to be a stop to illegal immigrants coming into this country.
