Welcome Back Paul Kane Blues and Blues Families!

The 2022-23 school year is well underway. Again this year our enrollment is at record levels. For the first time in over two years, there will be no official COVID restrictions. This means that field trips, Athletics, and Fine Arts presentations will all be back as part of the school year. In addition, we are planning our move to the New PK for January of 2023. Given that COVID is still with us we are prepared to put COVID restrictions in place at a moment's notice.

It is wonderful that we can once again offer a full range of programming. It is going to be an exciting year as we put into practice many of the things learned during the past two years, working towards our new normal. For our new grade 10 students - welcome! We are as excited about this school year as you are. For our returning students, we look forward to seeing you and supporting you in graduating. We are hopeful and excited for you all to have a great year!

Big picture

STUDENT ATTENDANCE

Regular attendance is vital to a student's academic success and is a key factor in a student's ability to have strong connections to all aspects of classroom and school learning. This is particularly important in the fast paced semesters of high school.

If you know that your child will be late or absence from class, we ask that you notify the school via our Absence Reporting System or 780-459-4405.

For any absences that are unexcused, an automated phone system contacts the home at the end of the day when a student has missed a class. If you are unaware of the absence, you are encouraged to speak to your child and contact the school if you require follow up action.

CODE OF CONDUCT

Students at Paul Kane are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that is in keeping with the qualities of good citizenship. Please read our school Code of Conduct on our website.
