Walk to End Alzheimer's

2015 Buffalo - Capco Forget Me Not Team

Make a Difference ....support the cause for sufferers, caregivers, community

I am again walking to raise funds for Alzheimer's and other dementia.

Please give a donation and help my team reach at least $1000 to gain matching funds from my employer, Capco. Your gift is tax deductible and the Website will send you a digital receipt for your taxes. Help us make a difference.

The Alzheimer's Association has programs to educate, support suffers and their caregivers and research to find ways to postpone and treat dementias. Please join with me to raise funds to help those in Western New York and the world to fight dementia.

Why is it personal for me? In late 2012 my husband, Dennis, suffered a health crisis which activated Lewy Body Dementia and Parkinsonism. These are fatal conditions which originate from protein plaques in the brain. Alzheimer's also originates from protein plaques, although now we know that it is a different type. Without the Research trials that this agency funds in dementia we would not know that. Alzheimer's Association supports confidential groups where we can share our journey and gain learnings from those that have gone before us. They help us navigate the support programs, care centers and help services available in the community. Each journey is different but we share a bond of losing our loved ones slowly to an unseen and hard to comprehend enemy which is relentless. Thanks to the Alzheimer's association programs we know we are not alone. Please take a moment to donate today.
