Welcome Back!!!

Dear Families,

This is always and interesting time. On one hand, it seems like it has been forever since we were in school and on the other, summer seemed to fly by. We have so many exciting things that have been happening here at Westview. As most of you know, following health guidelines, we are starting the year with masks being worn indoors by all students and staff. We want to ensure that everybody in our building remain healthy and happy throughout the year. Our wonderful PTO provided the funding to build a Gaga pit. This is a game that can involve 20+ students at a time. It is a friendlier and much safer version of dodgeball. We have also added some new faces to our staff. This includes Mrs. Denton in our exceptional education classroom and Mrs. Cooper as our new third grade teacher.

As always, in order for your student to be successful in school you must take an active role in their education. This would include doing things such as checking their backpacks, communicating with their teacher, and providing a quiet place to study and read. If you would like to be involved please make sure you fill out a volunteer application and background check. We are very excited about this year and looking forward to all of the amazing things that are going to be happening here at Westview.

Sincerely,

Mr. Steve Jones
