What is the Delran STEM Ecosystem Alliance?
About Us and Our Key Programs
The Delran STEM Ecosystem Alliance is one of 80 communities in the United States , Mexico, Kenya, Israel and Canada.. The ecosystem’s priorities include implementing ideas and best practices for innovative learning that will benefit students’ individual development and prepare them for the demands of the 21st century workforce.
The Delran STEM Ecosystem Alliance is working with partners (like Lockheed Martin, Rowan College at Burlington County, Radwell International, Sustainable Jersey for Schools, Schneider Electric, the US NAVY, the Delran Education Foundation, the Delran Education Association, Perkins Center for the Arts, PSE&G, Research & Development Council of NJ, to name a few) to create a cradle to career pipeline in STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) to ensure the next generation workforce is equipped to fill the talent gap in areas of healthcare, engineering, robotics and the industrial field.
For instance, the Delran STEAM Up Summer Camp is a program that focuses on strengthening the number of students interested in participating in STEM opportunities and exposing underrepresented populations to STEM pathways. A four-week STEAM Summer Camp allows students to participate in engineering activities and design.
The Delran STEM Ecosystem Alliance is working with partners to create a cradle to career pipeline in STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) to ensure the next generation workforce is equipped to fill the talent gap in areas of healthcare, engineering, robotics and the industrial field through the Delran Innovation & Fabrication Laboratory, or FAB LAB. This state-of-the-art facility will provide students and faculty with widespread access to modern means for invention focused on robotics, engineering and modern day challenges, including an assortment of flexible computer-controlled and industrial-grade fabrication tools.
