Klein High School, Winter 2019 Edition
The Principal's Message
Dear Klein High Parents and Students,
I hope you all had a restful and peaceful Thanksgiving break! We are quickly approaching the end of the first semester of the 2019-2020 school year, and what a great year it has been so far.
As we look ahead, this edition of the Paw Print has lots of information on upcoming dates and events for the Spring 2020 semester. Information on the upcoming course selection process for next year, our updated cell phone procedure, and our #KleinFamilyServes day of service are a few of the many things you will find in this edition!
During these last few weeks of 2019, I encourage each of our Bearkats and their family to reflect on the things that we are grateful for this holiday season. The Klein High School administration and staff are truly grateful to each of you and the partnership that has been established. I know that our students will persevere through their final exams and have a successful conclusion to their fall semester. Please take this upcoming break to rest, relax, and enjoy the people in your life that matter most. Thank you, as always, for your support and guidance as we work with your students to strive to make our vision of Promise2Purpose a reality for everyone! We truly do believe that Together We Make The Difference!
Warmest Holiday Wishes,
Klein High School Principal

Klein5 Student Ambassadors
The Klein5 Character Ambassadors have enjoyed collaborating as a larger team this semester as we continue our journey of infusing strong character into our KHS culture! We were excited to welcome our incoming Bearkats at Freshmen Orientation, happy to host Bearkat families during our KHS Community Night, and humbled to honor those who have served our country at the Veterans Day Breakfast.
Ambassadors will be supporting both students and teachers next semester by visiting classrooms and leading important discussions about relevant character topics, encouraging every member of our #kleinfamily to participate in themed personal growth challenges, and by intentionally investing in personal interaction and human connection.

What's Happening in Klein ISD
Klein Family Serves
Greetings Klein High family,
I am so excited to share with you the official date of Klein Family Serves for this school year and ask you all to please SAVE THE DATE of Saturday, March 28th 2020!
Our student leaders have already been busy at work planning this amazing day and today, they made an announcement asking for students to apply to be on the student planning committee here at KHS. If you know a student who is passionate about community service and would be an outstanding leader, please ask them to go to Schoology to apply! Or share this link with them HERE!!
We are also forming a faculty committee as there is much planning to get done. If you are interested in helping out in the planning leading up to the day of service, please email Kristen Haggard at email@example.com.
Also, here is a link to the Klein Family Serves website which also offers more information about this awesome day! This year, each of the high schools will serve as a hub and each family of schools will volunteer out of each of the high school hubs. Our family is Klein High, Kleb Intermediate, and the following Elementary schools: Benfer, Brill Ehrhardt, Kuehnle, Mittelstadt and Theiss.
We are all so excited to make this the greatest day of service ever in Klein ISD!!!
The Lady Bearkat Volleyball team dominated the courts this season as they made it all the way to the Regional Semi-Finals Champs. December StuCo will have a “compliMITTEN” wall where students and staff will be encourage to “hand” out a compliment for our wall for others. We will also have a “Candy Gram” opportunity for students to send a note to a friend in class and all proceeds will go to a charity of our choice.
