Tabar Talks
A Wonderful and Warm Welcome Back to everyone in the Corpus Christi Academy family. It is 2020 and we hope that everyone has had a refreshing, relaxing, and rejuvenating Christmas break.
As we look into the New Year, we want to create and foster positive experiences that permeate “The Academy” and guide us as a Beacon of Christ Inspired Excellence in Mind, Body, and Spirit. This week some of our eighth grade students have already started new and enriching experiences. As part of our new Junior Model United Nations program, our students travelled to John Carroll University to participate in the Henri Pell Junod, Junior Model United Nations Conference sponsored by the Cleveland Council of World Affairs. Thanks to financial aid from our PTG, our UN delegates from CCA were able to participate in United Nations Simulations where they achieved global learning objectives. As representatives of Corpus Christi Academy, our students were empowered to investigate the world, recognize different perspectives, communicate ideas to diverse audiences, and apply what they learned to address pressing world issues. It is from experiences like this that our students are able to step out of their comfort zone, challenge themselves, and realize true growth in Mind, Body, and Spirit.
As we enter a New Year, a New Quarter, and a New Semester on Monday, January 13, we openly and honestly continue the process of challenges and failures, growth and reflection, and self realization and success. Thank you for your continued support of all that is Corpus Christi Academy because without the support of our families, friends, and especially our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, our mission would not be possible.

Final Weeks: Shoe Collection Drive
The American Heritage Girls are in the final weeks for their Bi-Annual Shoe Drive. We are still short of our goal of 2,500 pairs of shoes. If you haven't clean out your closets yet, there is still time. We are looking for gently used shoes - any type (boots, sandals, kids or adults). The shoes will be distributed to those less fortunate in third world countries. They will use the shoes to create micro-enterprises. Thus extending the life cycle of unused shoes in your closet to help someone else earn a living. What a wonderful way to start the New Year by helping others.
The Donation Box is in the Back of the Church and by the Saint Clare statue. Any questions, please call Christy Raynor at (440) 684-0549. Thank you and God Bless!
