It takes many different types of studies to become a cardiologist. The first is they need to go to a 4-year university and earn a bachelor's degree. Once they have completed that, they need to go to medical school and graduate from medical school. After graduating from medical school, they must complete several years or internal medicine and cardiology training.
Job Description
Cardiologist diagnose, treat, and prevent diseases of the heart and blood vessels. They are some of the most highly specialized physicians in the medical field. Often work as part of a team and not so much as solo practitioners.
Salary
The average cardiologist makes an average of $512,000 a year. The lower 10% is at $259,000 a year while the 90% is at $570,000 a year. It all depends on how long you've been a cardiologist for.
