Things Martin de León is known for

Martin de León was the only Mexican empresario to found a colony in Texas. Most of his family was educated in Madrid ,Paris but he declined his father's offer to complete his education in Monterrey and Europe instead he choose to be a merchant and supplier.He also established a ranch between Chitipin Creek and Aransas River ,stocked it with cattle ,horses ,mules ,and goats that he brought from Mexico ,and enclosed several leagues of land with a brush fence in a effort to corral and domesticate mustangs.
