Thank you!
(Please do not share with others that are not staff members or post, as this is a personal message to my staff)
From the bottom of my heart, I cannot thank you enough for what you are to me and to the administrative team. This week was one for the books, and through it all, I stood. There were so many things flying around, some partially true, and other things were fake news. I was hurt, disappointed, and most of all embarrassed, Not because of anything about me or something I had done, but because of what I felt this negative attention brought to our school and community. And for that, I am so sorry. Please know that if ANYTHING comes my way in the area of concerns or problems, I immediately address them and will continue to do that. It made feel good to receive such positive thoughts, prayers, hugs, gifts, and pep talks.
Our administrative team works hard to support you and our students. This school is one of the best in our county and I firmly believe that the staff IS the best. If you take nothing else from my posture through this week, take away the fact that we are not built to break. I preach so much about positivity that you best believe, when I'm up against it, I practice what I tell you.
What was posted, who posted it and shared it with parents and media.... Please don't speculate, that information will be kept silent. The point is, I choose to believe that people in our community genuinely care about our school and did what they thought was best because they felt it was not the school's responsibility to continue to fix these problems. That's what I want you believe as well. No negativity, no bad thought, it's in the past. We move forward with our heads up knowing that we went through the fire, but we don't smell like smoke!
