Transition to Hybrid

Based on the current data trends related to COVID 19, we are planning to return to a hybrid learning environment with the start of the second quarter on 10-26.

1. Parents will need to notify the school if they are choosing to keep their students fully online. You may complete the form linked in the letter attached to this email or submit an email jgibson@horizoncolumbus.org with your child's name and grade.

2. Any student needing bussing must have an application completed with Columbus City Schools. Check with them for your routing information. More information can be found in the packet being sent with the student's interim reports.

Please be aware that if Franklin County is escalated to a level 3, we will transition back to an online environment.

Please check the Reset and Restart document found on our school's website under the heading "COVID".

HSA Middle School Students Explore 3D Printing

Student's 3D Print Designs: Virtual Edition

While students are currently learning online, it can be difficult to engage them during more hands on classes such as Art and PLTW. However, our teachers have made the best of the situation and have found ways to include the students even though they are at home. Mr. Ors' PLTW Design and Modeling class created designs and submitted them to their teacher to be printed on our 3D printer. The results were some fun designs such as minecraft party glasses, bat button, luggage tag, chess pawn, and a bird nest. The students were able to see their designs and some students were able come to school to pick up their projects.
