Happening This Week

Come one, come all to Books, Brownies, & Beans this Saturday, November 5, 9:00 am-4:00 pm!

Check out our new Featured Books section on your right as you enter the Sanctuary where we've gathered newer book releases, books of regional interest, and books that promote our UU vision for a loving, just, and healthy world. Regular prices from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. From 1:00-3:00 pm, all remaining books are half-price; from 3:00-4:00 pm, fill a bag for $5. Please spread the word to family, neighbors, and friends! Find out more here.

A BB&B Volunteer Appreciation Presale will be held on Friday, November 4 from 4:00-6:00 pm. You are welcome to attend this exclusive event if you are volunteering your time to help the sale in any way - including making a special effort to gather book donations or encouraging your friends and family to attend the sale. You are also welcome if you are more comfortable in a smaller, always masked group of attendees.

Can’t attend the sale on November 5 but still want to support great local nonprofits? You can donate here, knowing your money will support Pizza Klatch, FORKids Weekend Backpack program, and the Thurston Climate Action Team.

Coming Up

The cold season is almost upon us, and so is the Capital Campaign to keep our building warm. Watch for a special announcement in your email and on the OUUC Website this week!

In the Larger Community

Learn more about the following events and others here.

The Article II Study Commission is excited to share a full draft of Article II for feedback. The Study Commission's outreach team will be hosting Zoom feedback sessions in the first half of November, along with gathering feedback through a forthcoming online form for individual comments. The Study Commission will present its final draft to the Board in January for inclusion on the agenda for General Assembly 2023. It will then be the subject of mini-Assemblies before the initial vote at GA 2023. If it passes that delegate vote by a majority, it will require a 2/3 majority vote at GA 2024 to become the new Article II of the Bylaws.

Friday, November 4 – Monday, November 7 - Multiple times available. Join UU the Vote to call PA Voters here.
