Build Skills Every Day: Fall
Take advantage of fall to help your child build early literacy skills.
- Talk: Talk about the changing weather and season. There are so many wonderful words to describe the beauty of fall-see how many you can use!
- Sing: Listen to music with the children in your life and sing along.
- Read: Make a habit of reading every day.
- Write: Singing a rhyme like the Itsy Bitsy Spider with hand motions helps your child develop manual dexterity--which is important as they get ready to write.
- Play: Fall is a great season to imagine the coming year.
