St Cecilia's Catholic Primary School - Easter 2018
Almost Easter
It has been very special to be in school during Holy Week, seeing St Martin's Class perform Stations of the Cross today and watching the other classes walk the stations through the school, visiting each class in turn. Last week Father Kevin celebrated Mass for us and along with a Service of Reconciliation with Father Rob a little earlier the children have been well prepared during Lent to truly enjoy this Easter.
A reminder that school closes at 1200 tomorrow.
On behalf of the Governing Body and the staff, may I wish you all a very Happy and Blessed Easter, we look forward to seeing you all back after some lovely family time, on Monday 16 April.

Class Dojo and Pupil (Student) Accounts
It takes a while to settle down and for everyone to get used to the system, ourselves included! We have noticed one difference between the full rollout and the pilot, with the full rollout parents have received student account emails and have set them up. Whilst this is great news we hadn't anticipated this aspect of the implementation.
We will eventually use the student accounts to enable your child to send home examples of learning for you to celebrate. Please do not use this part of the app to encourage your child to message the teacher, send photos or other items. We have to pace ourselves and we would rather that student story recorded learning activities, at home and in school. We will start to use student story as we progress towards the summer, we will have assemblies where we discuss with the children the dos and don't of social sharing.
It is lovely to see you online, if you haven't joined yet look out for that letter in your child's bag. They have all been distributed. We will catch up with non subscribers after the Easter holiday - just in case you missed the letter.

Importance of Times Tables & Using Mathletics
For those children with accounts, please don't forget to login to Mathletics! Have you checked your child's progress on it lately?

The prizes were won by Mrs Martin and Mrs Buchanan, Eden and Holly in Y1, Charlie, Kajish, Hannah and Maisie in Y2 and Stacey in Y5 with some of the children winning twice. Thank you to everyone who supported this event.
The Easter Egg raffle money and the Lenten boxes will be counted and we will give you an overall total when we return to school. St Cecilia’s has a proud history of raising money for various charities and it could not be done without the support of everyone.

News regarding Uniform and Holy Communion Clothes
May we please ask you to inform parents that we have now received the 2018 stocks of the Summer Uniform and available in the shop and online 24/7.
During the Easter Holiday you could earn 10% donation for the school using the code SC258. Please call us on 020 8543 7721 to check Easter opening hours.
We are unique in the fact that we will NOT SELL the same dress to another child who will be receiving their First Holy Communion at the Mass.
Our website contains all the details of the items we sell online and in our shop Clothes Line Grand Drive London SW20 9NQ. Parents can see all the gifts and clothes and the children can try out the suits and dresses in the changing rooms.
Easter opening times vary, please check the website before you visit.
Thank you very much for your help and wish you and the St Cecilia's community a Blessed Easter.
