Established in 2020, the District 49 Cultural Leadership Advisory Council (CLAC) was created to represent the variety of populations District 49 serves, and to foster a culture that values the diversity of perspectives among our key stakeholder groups.

The CLAC serves as an advisory body to the district’s senior leaders and Board of Education, providing research, recommendations, event support, and policy guidance to D49’s leadership. Learn more at D49.org.

The CLAC gathers monthly for a 90-minute meeting at the Creekside Success Center. To ensure it captures a wide range of viewpoints, the CLAC is made up of representatives from:

• The D49 student population (high school)
• The D49 workforce
• The D49 community
