Hello It’s Maribel, once again! This week in art we finished are Chinese New Years dragon. Chinese New Year is a festival of a new year, it’s the start of the second new moon. People know it for the different animals each year and the dragon. We had to draw a new years dragon in celebration for this. It’s on the 8th so get ready! We drew the dragon colored it with marker and color pencil. Ms. Davis showed us the cool tool for giving shading to the side walk. (That was an option). All of the different dragon are marvelous. Also we had started a sketch on a new project. It was a barn . There will be an art competition at Conley. so the 5th graders are doing this. Ms. Davis gave us a how to, to sketch it . The class was working on the barn today, That is it for this time see you soon bu-bye!

Music - by Mrs. Crowe

What's the difference between rhythm and beat? I bet your 5th grader can tell you! This week we worked on rhythm and beat with a fun Yahtzee game! We used dice with music notes on them--this weekend you could get the regular dice out and have a family game night!

Finally....

Have a fantastic weekend!

Warmly,
