  • Follow instructions from Ms. Johnson (CIC) regarding All in Learning.

Principal's Corner

Grit...A Key to Success.

It is hard to believe that the 1st six weeks is coming to a close. We have had a great start to the 2015-16 school year. So, now the question becomes..."How do we sustain our energy and motivation for the next 30 weeks?"

Grit is a positive, non-cognitive trait based on an individual's passion for a particular long-term goal or end state, coupled with a powerful motivation to achieve their respective objective. This perseverance of effort promotes the overcoming of obstacles or challenges that lie within a gritty individual’s path to accomplishment, and serves as a driving force in achievement realization.

So, based on the above definition do you feel you have GRIT? I do believe that we have a building full of staff members that exhibit GRIT on a daily basis.

I challenge you to refocus yourself in the upcoming weeks. This is the time that teachers' motivation dips. We have to acknowledge our feelings of exhaustion, but find that ability to recharge.

We are charged to provide the best instructional program to all students. Please know that I am here to support you in any I can. I appreciate all that you do for our students each and every day!

Principal with Grit,

Ms. Hudson

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED...PREP U!!!

The Pinkston feeder pattern will host its first PREP U event of the school year. We will need 6 volunteers to help with table set up and games. The expectations is that all Earhart Faculty and Staff come out to support our students and their families at this event. PREP U will be held Saturday at Pinkston High School.

What's Happening in the Hornet's Nest...

Amelia Earhart Folk Dance Ensemble

Did you know Earhart has a dance troupe? Thanks to Mr. Calderon, our 4th and 5th grade students have been working hard to prepare for their first performance. You will be able to support them for their first performance at PREP U.
