#EveryTigerEveryDay
Principal’s Message
Today brings the end of a 4-day week here at LMS, with our students finishing their math Ohio State Tests this morning. For our 7th grade students, testing is complete and our 8th-grade students have just one more to go with their science test next Thursday, 4/21. Continued praise to our students for giving their best and staying focused during these important academic assessments. Almost there!
A reminder that we'll be selling Kings Island tickets this week for students attending the Tiger Up! incentive trip on April 29th. More information on that can be found below. We'll also soon be communicating information regarding the schedule for that day and other details for our families and students to know. Looking forward to it!
in recognition of students whose parents/guardians serve in the military, students and staff across Loveland Schools participated in Purple Up! today by wearing purple and presenting those students a certificate to show our support and appreciation. Unyielding gratitude to all our Tiger family and community members who serve their country through the armed forces. We are forever indebted to your sacrifice and service.
A reminder that there is no school tomorrow, Good Friday, 4/15. A Happy Easter weekend to all our families who celebrate. We'll see all our students back in school on Monday!
Happy weekend, everyone.
Go Tigers!

Securly Parent Portal
With Chromebooks becoming an essential part of classroom instruction we want you to know that Loveland City Schools monitors what sites students are visiting and what content they’re searching for on school-issued devices.
We use a service called Securly, which alerts our district IT staff of questionable activities on school-issued devices, and provides the opportunity for follow-up if needed. This is covered in your technology agreement completed at the start of the school year.
Securly also provides a parent portal, which allows parents the ability to monitor their child’s online activity on their school-issued device. We are now making this available for parents to use at no cost. You can sign up for the Securly Parent Portal by following this link and completing a brief form.
To learn more about the services that the Securly Parent Portal offers, follow this link. If you have questions, please contact our district IT Systems Administrator John Lape at lapejo@lovelandschools.org.

Second Step Social Emotional Learning
At LMS and across Loveland Schools, we want every child to be successful in school and that means supporting and encouraging their whole development. While excelling in academic classes is important, students also need skills to take on learning challenges, make good decisions, handle strong emotions, and get along with others.
This week, LMS students continue with social-emotional learning through the Second Step program, a research-based social-emotional learning program designed to improve students’ social-emotional skills, such as emotion management, impulse control, problem-solving, and empathy.
Through our Tiger Talk, with the purpose of providing this information with our families, we will be communicating “Family Connections” regularly to communicate the social-emotional learning topic and summary as well as a potential question to ask your child at home to continue the learning and connection.

LMS Interview Day volunteers needed
Tiger Community, we need your help to make 8th grade Interview Day a success!
We need adults to serve as interviewers; retired grandparents, work from home adults, work outside the home, & stay at home parents.
The volunteers will sit for 1 on 1 interviews with 8th grade students. Each volunteer interviewer will do approximately 10 student interviews; at the end of each interview, the volunteers will provide feedback to the students on responses, body language, and professionalism during the interview. The interviewers will be provided a list of questions that the students have prepared answers for, but are not limited to those questions. In addition to the question responses, the students are working on eye contact, body language, and their appearance during an interview. Our goal is to create an environment in which the students are engaged in "formal" conversation with an adult.
Read this letter explaining what will happen on interview day. It also contains the link to sign up to be an interviewer
We also are looking for snack donations. Please sign up here LMS Interview Day Snack Donations
