Updates to Google Classroom
Google Classroom has had a lot of updates, and you can read about them here. I wanted to focus on what I think is the best new feature: you can now post assignments, announcements, etc to individual students. What does that mean? Differentiation is EASY! You can now post:
- group info and assignments
- different work for students on IEPs or other leveled work
- messages and work for students that missed class
- messages to students still missing an assignment
- any assignment, announcement, link, etc. to individual students or a group of students
In Google Classroom, click the + sign to add a post (pic to the right). Then, instead of posting to "All Students", click to choose the student(s) you want to post to. See how it works below, or check out detailed instructions from Google.
Shout-Outs
Want to tell someone, "thanks"? You can just e-mail me who you want to thank and what you want to say, or you can use this document. Either make a copy and share it back with me or print it and bring it to Tracy or me in the library. No anonymous shout-outs. :)
