Hello Woods Lake Family,
I am so excited and proud of our student's daily engagement. They are learning how to use breakout google virtual rooms to continue their learning and provide feedback and reflection to their teachers and classmates. They are also building their content knowledge while strengthening their skills in technology. In addition, the level of engagement our students have shown is noteworthy!
Pictured above are two kindergarten students in Mrs. Brown's class that shared their DIY project from their science learning. You will also see a picture of Ms. Hutchings third grade students on what would have been our fall picture day last Wednesday, October 7th. The students were excited to pause their learning to take a class picture! What a wonderful way to stay close, while at a distance!
Our A.T. program has begun! Students are provided synchronous (real time) A.T. learning sessions with various class times, that have been shared with specific students. In addition, all students may access the AT for All learning hub to engage in Brainiac Fun!

Box Tops for Education
Yes, Woods Lake is still collecting Box Tops!! Due to the pandemic Box Tops for Education is allowing ANYONE with traditional Box Tops clips to submit them on their own. To learn how to submit unexpired traditional clips, watch this video, and use these step by step directions to access the submission form that must be included for Box Tops clips to be counted. This year, all Box Tops fall submissions must be postmarked by November 2.
If you are not able to submit the Box Top clips yourself please put them in a baggie and bring them into the school office by Tuesday, October 27th. Office hours are Monday-Friday 8-4:30 pm.
Box Tops are phasing out the clipped Box Tops, so be sure to download the BoxTops for Education mobile app https://www.boxtops4education.com/. Once you do that, make sure you link our school (Woods Lake Elementary School) to your account and start earning free money back for our school!
