Big picture

Dear Families,

8th grade parents, we want to make sure you are aware that the number of guests for our promotion ceremony has been increased from two guests to four guests per family. Please remind your students that any active disciplinary infractions may prevent them from participating in the promotion ceremony, so remind them to be on their best behavior.

If you haven't received an application for summer school and you want one, please email abalt@musd20.org.

Device return will take place the last week of school for in person students and on the last day and the Friday following the last day for distance learners. If you have any questions about returning your device early or on those dates, please contact the front office. On Thursday, May 27th, the front office will be open until 6 pm in order to allow for device returns. On Friday May 28th, the front office will be open from 8-5 for device returns. All devices will be deactivated on Friday May 28th.

Wednesday May 26th and Thursday May 27th are both early release days.

Thank you,

Carlos Alvarado

Good Deed Highlight!

Tiger families, we wanted to share some good deed news with you! One of our students, Ashley, took it upon herself to provide her hair for wigs. Her mother, Lisa, shared the following with us:

"Three years ago Ashley decided to grow her hair out, so she could donate it to a charity that would provide wigs to children ( free of cost ) while they are going through chemotherapy and battling the toughest moment of their lives. This was a decision she made all on her own and she chose Wigz for Kidz because they don’t charge the families to get a wig.

She shaved her head to support all the kids that are battling cancer, leukemia, tumors etc... and to honor all the kids that lost their battle. I’m so proud of her selflessness, her courage and her drive to help where she can. She has a kind soul and it shows."

We are so proud of this young human and her courageous gift!
