George Washington Carver was born in January of 1864. He was born in Diamond Grove, Missouri. He died in January of 1943, in Tuskegee, Alabama.

Carver was most famous for inventing many uses for the peanut. Something very interesting, was that he did NOT invent peanut butter. Many people believed he did, but he really didn't. Carver was a botanist, chemist, scientist, and inventor.
