Canine Revolution
When talking about parasite preventatives many clients wonder why we do not recommend canine Revolution anymore. We understand many pets have been on Revolution most of their lives. Dr. Pope and the staff, however, believe there are better products to offer.
The culprits
Worms!
Heartworms are a year-long issue for both CATS and DOGS in the south. Preventatives kill the baby worms before they can mature and cause damage.
Intestinal worms (hookworms, roundworms, and whipworms) can cause blood loss, poor nutrition, and dehydration if not treated. All of which can be life threatening. This is also a detriment to you and others who come into contact with any contaminated surface
Is that dirt?
Flea dirt is actually digested blood from fleas. You don't necessarily have to see fleas on your pet to suspect a flea problem.
Difficult to control once you discover an infestation.
Ticks
Be concerned about ticks if you have high grass, trees, weeds and your pet goes outside for more than just a potty break.
Preventatives...
Decrease the risk of contracting these diseases that are common, yet threatening, to your pets and to YOU.
