Principal Ponderings: In the Weeds
There is a term used in serving, "in the weeds", to let others know that you are swamped, overwhelmed, "where's the door because I'm about to walk out of here" type buried. Well, I eluded to the fact that I am "in the weeds" on Wednesday morning after being out for 5 days and trying to play catch up while life keeps moving (fast). It's okay to be in the weeds. It's normal and expected at times. It's only temporary. Diving into the work and the people help alleviate the feeling and eventually we get caught back up.
So if you're in the weeds right now, know it's temporary, do the work that it takes to get out, and slowly but surely you'll see the horizon again. If anybody's coming in on Saturday morning, coffee's on me!
