An Characteristic of a material that can be observed or measured with out changing the density.
- color and shape
- length and mass
- volume and density
Physical Changes
- The physical property of a substance change, but the identity of the substance dose not change.
- changing from one state to another
- melting point 0 degrees C, and boiling point 100 degrees C
Chemical Properties
Any characteristic that gives a substance the ability to under go a change that results in a new substance.
