Important Information
December
There has been a long tradition here at Greenwood where the Principal would read to all the students by the Fire. Unfortunately, we will not be able to do this here at school, but we can do this virtually! The GWE staff will be sharing videos of us reading by the fire through the month of December. We are encouraging families to share a video of your family reading by the Fire as well! Please send your videos to Mrs. Delgado at mhammersmith-delgado@wcusd200.org

One Book, One School Coming this January!
Woodstock Public Library
The library is getting ready to start our Winter Reading program! Normally, we'd have an awesome video to share with you to show your students, but with COVID-19, it didn't happen. I'm sure most of you don't actually "see" your students, but if you could pass this information along to the teachers who are in contact with the students the most, we'd really appreciate it.
- Readers aged 2-years-old -- 12th grade can pick up reading logs starting on November 27th. They can also log into their existing Beanstack account (if they did Summer Reading this past summer or summer 2018) or create a new Beanstack account https://woodstockpubliclibrary.beanstack.org and register online.
- They can start turning in logs and getting prizes starting December 1st.
- Prizes are awarded for every 3 hours of reading. Books are awarded for those readers in the children's program for every 12 hours of reading.
- Readers will get a lanyard and a badge when they read their first 3 hours. They can earn more badges the more they read.
- Grand Prize Raffle for the children's program will be a family membership to the DuPage Children's Museum.
- Grand Prize Raffle for the YA program will be a gift card to PARADOXsquared here in town.
- The last day for Winter Reading will be January 30th.
More details are available at the children's desk.
