Volunteer Opportunity/ Internship

A farm in Zebulon is seeking volunteers to help with therapy appointments and potentially group events. This is a great opportunity to explore potential careers in physical and occupational therapy, education, and equine care and management, among others. Here is what they are looking for:

  • Available for 3 – 6 hours at a time afterschool and weekends
  • Able to get transportation to and from the farm
  • Can work outside in various weather conditions (Appointments are canceled in the event of severe weather)
  • Comfortable in farm setting and willing to get a little dirty
  • Experience with horses a plus, but not required.
  • Able to engage with children
  • Professional communication skills
  • Minimum commitment of 30 – 40 hours
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination required
  • We will provide necessary training
