There are may ways to get injured in a science lab so we put together a list of some very important tips that you should remember so that you or other people don't get injured. follow these six easy steps to help you in everyday lab life.
Always Wear Safety Goggles
always wear protective goggles. Goggles protect your eyes from dangerous liquids and other dangerous equipment. You could also get your eyes injured by acidic substances or flying shrapnel.
Keep Bags Under Desks
Bags are always needed during school but during a lab put bags and other utensils under the desk or somewhere where people wont trip over it when walking. Also you probably wont want your papers or laptop crushed so put it somewhere safe for the safety of you, other people, and your stuff.
Never Put Chemicals or Materials Near Desk Edge
Never put materials near edge of desk in case they fall or get spilled. Take caution with flammable materials near the Bunsen Burner in case they set you on fire.
Never Wear Open Toed Shoes
Never wear open toed shoes in case you drop something. If you do drop something and it lands on your feet and your wearing sandals you get cut or the chemicals can burn you.
Supplies
Always bring supplies to a lab. You should always be prepared and ready to go. If you do not bring all your supplies you may get injured, an example is that if you don't bring your gloves your hands can get cut or burnt.
No Horseplay In A Lab
No horseplay in a lab because while playing around you might knock chemicals over and might cause them to explode and any glass can cut people.
